Inspirational writer shares God’s message
"Change starts with you. We must all try to bring positive changes to our friends, families, and colleagues by living with values that display high, incorruptible moral standards."
HECTORSPRUIT – Local author Justice Thobejane is trying to inspire the community through his book, Break Loose From Chains.
Although the book is not widely known, it carries a powerful message and Corridor Gazette met with the author to find out more about him and the inspiration behind it.
Thobejane is not only a writer, but a foreman and assistant manager in traffic safety for Raubex Construction, an entrepreneur and marketing manager, and a producer and sports analyst at Nkomazi FM. He is passionate about sport, especially soccer, as he played it from amateur to professional level in the Premier Soccer League.
Thobejane started writing when he was 13, mostly notes for school debate teams.
He became a Christian in January 2011, and started writing down messages he received from God.
Through the encouragement of friends and family, he decided to publish a book with these inspirational messages. It took him three months to write Break Loose From Chains and he published it late 2014. “The book was a gift from God who wanted me to disperse a message to all people who are facing challenges to believe they can be freed by his power,” he stated.
The book deals with the various challenges Christians face in the world every day, such as bad influences, fear, humility, addiction, wealth and relationships, and gives advice based on scripture.
Thobejane says the book can be read by anyone who feels a need to change their lives by giving God a space to work in their hearts. He has received some feedback from readers and says they encouraged him to write more books as they like his informal, personal writing style.
Despite his busy lifestyle Thobejane is planning on writing more motivational and Bible-orientated books and diaries. He is busy with the manuscript for his second book and his first public diary, which will be sold next year. He is also planning to publish corporate diaries that will “help uplift the spirit of workers in any workplace.”
Thobejane is doing his own marketing, and hopes to soon see his book on retail shelves.
