Mortar bomb found in Sonheuwel dump heap
Sarel Cilliers Street was closed for some time today after a mortar was found on a dump heap.

MBOMBELA – Divergent Ops responded to a call today from a member of the public who had seen the mortar bomb.
According to the security company’s Mr Jacques Meiring, the bomb squad was called out and removed the mortar shell from the scene.
“There is no cause for alarm as it was found to be a practice mortar bomb,” he said.
The road is open as usual.
