Make sure of your stall for the next Agfo expo
Held for the first time last year, Agfo filled a huge gap in the province.

If you have a mean machine you want to show off to farmers and foresters, or if you get a thrill from seeing big machinery in action, then the Agriculture and Forestry Expo (Agfo) 2017 is for you. It promises to have a wide variety of sector-specific exhibitors.
Held for the first time last year, Agfo filled a huge gap in the province. “It was the first of its kind and established itself as the preferred trade platform for the agriculture and forestry sectors,” said Ms Joey Lascelles, Chairperson of the Agfo committee and CEO at United Forest Products.
“Agfo was conceptualised by a group of volunteers to ensure that there’s an efficient and effective trading platform for the agriculture and forestry industries in Mpumalanga.
“It’s an expo where like-minded people are able to gather, network and do business to ensure the growth of the economy in these sectors,” she said.
“Without the support of our sponsors and exhibitors, Agfo 2016 would not have been as successful as it was,” said Lascelles.
The committee is already hard at work preparing for Agfo 2017, which has a host of new and exciting initiatives lined up.
“Our objectives are to again ensure that we promote agriculture and forestry in the area, that it’s a successful trade platform for exhibitors, that we promote local businesses, and that we make use of local businesses and entertainment during the event,” said Lascelles.
Exciting events on the programme will include a networking function, an agriculture and forestry forum, product demonstrations, various competitions, “boeresport”, firefighting demonstrations, and entertainment for children and adults including jumping castles and live music.
“Agfo not only promises a professional trade platform, but also a lot of fun for the whole family,” Lascelles confirmed.
