Cairn accident claims one, leaves four injured
A man lost his life and four people sustained minor to serious injuries when a bakkie overturned on the N4 on Sunday afternoon.
CAIRN – According to Joseph Mabuza, spokesman for the department of safety, security and liaison, the accident occurred between the Sterkspruit and Cairn intersections.
“The vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, was heading west when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the road and overturned, and came to a standstill after hitting a road sign. The driver was killed and two of the four occupants were seriously injured,” said Mabuza.

They were transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital where they were stabilised.
The traffic was slightly affected as the left lane had to be closed, but after the recovery was done at around 18:00, traffic continued as normal.
