BREAKING NEWS: Gunman banned from Jock
Police are investigating shots fired in the bar's parking lot on Friday night.

MBOMBELA – A man has been banned for life from Jock Pub & Grill after shooting live ammunition in the parking lot on Friday night.

According to a witness, who asked not to be named, two men got into a fight with a number of other patrons in the bar area.
As the source was leaving he heard the one man tell his friend to “fetch the gun”.
The friend did so and was walking back from the parking area when he had a change of heart and returned the gun to his car.

He was subsequently assaulted by people in the parking area who took offence at the fact that he was brandishing a weapon.
To help his friend the man who had asked him to get the gun retrieved it and fired shots.
The source phoned J&M Security and another phoned Hi-Tech.
Another witness told Lowvelder that she and some of her friends saw a man with a gun as they were pulling into a parking space close to the steps leading down to the pub.
As they entered, they saw the same man, without the gun.

According to a statement released by Jock, a man was removed from the premises after an altercation with staff and customers.
He and his associate continued to harass security and other individuals in the outpost centre and parking lot. While leaving the parking lot by car, one man allegedly fired three shots into the air.

General manager, Maggie Chambale, said both men have been banned for life from Jock.
“We have spoken with the SAPS and will be co-operating with them in their investigation.
“The safety and and well being of our customers is the Jock’s foremost priority. We take security seriously, with a contingent of five bouncers, two security guards on premises and Hi-Tech armed response.
