UPDATE: Farm manager appears in court for shooting teenager riding his bike

A 59-year-old man appeared in court for attempted murder.

Monday October 23

MBOMBELA – A 59-year-old farm manager appeared in court for shooting a-15 year-old boy who was riding his motorbike in the Hermansburg area. Hendrik Andries Marais appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of attempted murder.

Marais was granted bail of R10 000. The case was postponed for further investigation until December 6.

MBOMBELA – A Bossies Community Justice crime fighter, Albert Gryvenstein was involved in an car accident while on his way to a scene in which an adult male shot at a minor.

The minor was riding his motorcycle on the Hermansburg Road, according to Lowvelder journalist Helene Eloff who has been in contact with the relevant individuals involved.

Cpt Dawie Pretorius of the SAPS confirmed the incident, but was not able to provide any further information.

According to Danie Theron of Bossies Community Justice the minor was hopitalised, as well as Gryvenstein who are both currently in a stable condition at the Mediclinic.
