As a way of acknowledging the selfless, hard work its volunteers do, Nelspruit Hospice hosted a volunteer’s year-end function on Wednesday at Utopia in Africa Guest Villa.

The volunteers greatly enjoyed this annual event. Elmarie du Toit, the office administrator from Nelspruit Hospice, said it was held in recognition of what these amazing men and women mean to the organisation.

Nelspruit Hospice is a NPO which provides quality home-based palliative care to people with life-threatening illnesses.

“We spoil our volunteers with a sit-down dinner every year. It is just to say thank you for their support, because we know that without them we would not be able to function the way we do.

“We would also like to thank Patricia and Claire from Utopia in Africa Guest Villa for hosting us. Thank you to all our volunteers. We really appreciate your support,” said
