The ones that did not get away

The Nabana Lodge Social Series fishing competition has kicked off for the year and already attracted a lot of interest.

The winners of the competition at Klipkopje Dam on February 23 were Team Sikani with a bag of 4,4 kilograms. They also caught the biggest fish, weighing 1,855 kilograms.

They won cash, a R500 Extreme Fishing Tackle voucher, discount vouchers for Venom fishing tackle and the biggest fish prize of R100, kindly sponsored by Morgan Auto Electrical.

Team Bucket Mouth were second with a bag of 3,27 kilograms. Their biggest fish weighed 1,22 kilograms. They also won cash and a Wittus Angling voucher worth R350.

Team Nabana were third with a bagof 2,1 kilograms. They won a cash prize sponsored by Instrulec Electrical and a R200 Four Fish Trading voucher.

Fourth were Team VK Venom with a bag of 1,9 kilograms.

Their prize was a R500 Nabana Lodge voucher.

Rounding out the top five was Team Lucky Strike with a bag of 1,58 kilograms. They won a tackle pack sponsored by David Blow.

The next competition will take place at Sepico on March 30.

• Eighth – Focas Venom with 0,630 kilograms

• Ninth – Splash Bass with 0,520 kilograms
