Shop burns to the ground for the second time in five years

The Nkomazi Munisipal Fire Department told Corridor Gazette that they were called to report a fire at around midnight. They tried to contain the fire but it was too strong when they got there. They went back to their station to gather more resources to seize the fire and prevent it from spreading to the neighbouring shops.

At around 07:00 this morning Nkomazi Municipality Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

This shop burnt for the second time now in a period of 5 years. At first it was a Lucky Seven Shop that burned down to the ground. In 2017 it was a Hardware Warehouse that was blown away by strong winds.
