LHS leadership honed at Sugar Bay

Lowveld High School's grade 10 learners recently attended a leadership camp at Sugar Bay, where they had a blast.

This was a concentrated, intensive and transformative leadership development programme, designed to accelerate participants’ growth as aware and empowered leaders and teams.

One of the biggest goals was to improve communication and learn to resolve conflict.

The programme was filled to the brim with activities like paintball, that not only improved spur of the moment decision making, but also enhanced initiative and responsibility.

They even had to compete in an Amazing Race, where they had to work in teams to overcome the difficult obstacles. Other activities included a life-saving course, and even a film production about water pollution for Hectic Nine 9.

The camp gave the learners a greater sense of belonging among their peers.
