Darling Katie is ready to go to her forever home

Katie was hit by a car and after her leg was amputated her owner no longer wanted her.

Meet the Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency’s latest rescue, Katie.

Besides the amputated leg and her owner no longer wanting her, she also has a broken pelvis and is extremely skinny.

“We already love this precious little girl very much and will do everything in our power to make her future happy and bright,” Pro-Life said in a Facebook post about Katie’s arrival at its doors. The pup is only about six months old.

Karin Erasmus, founder of Pro-Life, said Katie is such a friendly dog and seems as though she has not been through trauma at all.

For updates on Katie’s progress, follow the Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency Facebook page.

She is already available for adoption, but will need some extra love and care for the next few weeks to help her heal.
