SPCA gets back in gear with fundraiser car boot sale

The White River SPCA had its monthly car boot sale this weekend at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre.

The chairperson of the organisation, Estelle de Villiers, said this particular car boot sale was a quiet one, but that people have latched onto the idea.

“Some months are quiet, some months are booming. We need the money, so we push on. Never give up!”

De Villiers said people sell mostly clothing and household wares, some camping gear and sometimes even home-made breads and pancakes.

The next car boot sale will be on September 4, from 08:00 to 12:00.

How it works:

You pay the SPCA R100 for a stall. You get to keep all the proceeds made from your boot. Contact De Villiers on 083 664 7505 for more information.
