Drugs worth more than R7m confiscated at Lebombo Border
The drugs were found in a hidden compartment upon searching a truck at the border.
An alleged drug trafficker is expected to appear in the Komatipoort Magistrate’s Court today after being found in possession of millions of rand of crystal meth.

According to a statement released by the Hawks, the 33-year-old suspect was arrested last night by members of the Lebombo Port Of Entry and K9 unit after a Toyota truck was subjected to a routine search upon entering South Africa from Mozambique.

“The resultant search of the truck revealed a concealed substance in a false compartment. The uncovered substance was identified as crystal meth neatly packaged in containers. It is valued at approximately R7.2m,” the statement read.
