WATCH: Donkeys rescued in Kaapsehoop

Six community members came together to help the donkeys that were stuck in the mud.

A herd of donkeys that was grazing in an area close to Kaapsehoop got itself into quite a bit of trouble on Sunday October 24.

According to a local resident, three of the donkeys got stuck in a muddy area. “As they trampled and panicked they got stuck even deeper, the mud almost being up to the top of their backs.”

The rescue mission gathered quite some attention on social media after six community members came to the rescue. They used tow straps to pull the donkeys out one by one.
