Malalane woman lucky to be alive after bullet grazes her head in armed robbery
The robbery occurred at 11:15 today, October 29. The police and Hi-Tech are searching for the suspects.
An armed robbery this morning at a Malalane cash-based office saw a large amount of cash stolen and a woman being shot at, nearly in her head.
An urgent manhunt has been launched for four men who robbed the office, used to pay farm workers, of its cash, the amount of which cannot be disclosed, and fled the scene in a latest-model Mercedes AMG today, October 29, at 11:15.
Hi-Tech Onderberg Region’s Marc Haarhoff said they are on the road searching for the four suspects and are offering a R10 000 reward for any information that will lead them to their location, or lead to the arrest of the men.

Haarhoff said the Mercedes had the number plates “KDV 725 MP”, but that these were false. The vehicle has a sunroof.
The woman is alive and is in a stable condition. Frits Koekemoer of Nkomazi Emergency Services said she was extremely lucky to be alive.
“A stray bullet ricocheted off her head. She was rushed to Shongwe Hospital by Lowmed where she is in a stable condition.”
