Man stable after serious accident in Mbombela
A man is in a stable condition after a serious accident he had been involved in earlier this evening (November 5).
His Izuzu bakkie and a VW Polo collided near the intersection of Wilhelm and Ferreira streets. ER24, SAPS and the Fire Department rushed to the scene.
According to Kim Habib of ER24, the paramedics arrived on the scene at 17:40. ER24 and the Fire Department had to free the man from the bakkie as his legs were trapped, and eventually succeeded at about 19:00.
He was transported to hospital with a suspected broken knee, abrasions on his arms and some bruises, but no other major injuries. The patient is in a stable condition.
