Big dreams for future in ballet

Then she competed against almost 4 000 performers at the nationals in Pretoria with six performances comprising a classical ballet, tap, modern, jazz and two lyrical dances, and won six gold medals.

Hannah Nicole Delpaul (14) has big dreams.

She recently participated at the Mpumalanga Regionals of the Talent Africa competition and won two gold medals. Hannah was also awarded her Mpumalanga Provisional Federation colours.

Then she competed against almost 4 000 performers at the nationals in Pretoria with six performances comprising a classical ballet, tap, modern, jazz and two lyrical dances, and won six gold medals. They selected her as part of the South African team to represent South Africa at the Stars of the Universe International Finals in December 2021.

Dancing is deep within Hannah’s soul. She has been dancing since the age of two, and loves performing and being on stage.

“One day I want to travel the world and perform on as many stages as possible. I love the feeling I get just before I go on stage. My make-up sparkles, my hair is perfectly back and I am wearing one of the many beautiful outfits made by my mum. I entertain the audience with my dance and feel the energy of their applause. I would like to become a dance teacher once I am done with travelling. I have earned my provincial federation colours five times now, as well as my SA colours when I travelled to Croatia representing SA and where I placed first. I train every day and am extremely excited to represent South Africa in the upcoming Stars of the Universe International Finals.”
