Sister with Soul gala event

To bring spiritual, emotional and cultural empowerment to women was Dudu Mnguni’s vision.

Mnguni is a healthcare worker in Mashishing and started the Sisters with a Soul organisation to empower women.

She hosted a gala dinner at Villa Afriq Guest House on Friday November 20 to celebrate women from all walks of life.

 “I wanted the ladies to walk the red carpet and get dressed up for this special evening. They felt like celebrities. We as an organisation are reaching out to families and individuals to encourage them to live a purposeful life,” said Mnguniù

The well-known spiritual and motivational group, Amadoda Anyakazisa Umuzi of Thembisa, entertained the guests.

The group members, Nyiko Mabunda and Sibusiso are  Mango, also led the guests in prayer. Mnguni said though it was a gala dinner, the event was so positive it almost felt like a therapy session.

Mnguni thanked Mariaan Norval of Villa Afriq Guest House for her hospitality, Maleshoko Mohlala for the decor, Pick n Pay Family, IGlow Media and Mendy Nyaka of the Dolcevoci group, as well as the gospel singer Cleopatra Ncongwane.

The Sisters with a Soul organisation plans to host various events next year to further its cause.
