Crowd enjoys fantastic food and music
A Tua Casa hosted a prawn evening on Saturday December 11 with talented musician Andra Cilliers performing for the intimate crowd throughout the evening.
The guest house, which is run and owned by food connoisseur Elaine Blignaut and based in West Acres, opened its doors at 17:00.

A tiny audience sat in the courtyard of the guest house around tables with the balcony used as the stage for Cilliers. She decorated her impromptu stage in fairy lights and sheets of patterned material to create a bohemian-looking set while performing an array of well-known favourites as well as some of her own songs.

With a voice like raw honey with some added gravel, Cilliers’ audience marvelled over her powerful performance, and left all in awe over the strength of her voice.

“If she had to move to America now, she would be world-famous,” one of the guests mentioned.
They also praised Blignaut’s prawn and chicken dishes, commenting that it was the “most delicious meal” they had eaten in a while.

With many of the guests going for seconds and thirds, she ensured she had more than enough food to satiate the hungry audience.
