3D infrastructure map for TCLM

The map will make it easier for TCLM to evaluate its assets, property, infrastructure, and service delivery units.

Innovative technology is being used to create a comprehensive 3D infrastructure map for Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCLM).

The public is requested to co-operate with the ground teams that are currently out collecting data.
The map will make it easier for TCLM to evaluate its assets, property, infrastructure, and service delivery units.

“The process will incorporate a 3D mobile mapping programme and plotting of co-ordinates in registers. Visits will be done to all visible assets for visual condition assessment. This process will be undertaken utilising 3D mobile vehicles with mounted photographic equipment to capture 3D images. The mapping will be done on water pipes, electrical lines, reservoirs, roads, and road signs. The process is essential to ensure the provision of quality service and good governance,” said Themba Sibiya, media and marketing manager of TCLM.
