Six accident victims buried in Tembisa

The surviving person was released from hospital and is recovering with his family.

The Komatipoort , were buried on November 13 in Tembisa. The driver was released from hospital and is recuperating at home.

According to a family member, Zakes Ntimane, Francisco Julioa Ntimane was released from the hospital before the funeral, so he could attend the burial service. Due to his broken leg, he is currently confined to his home in a wheelchair.

“He is recovering very well under the care of his family, and has already undergone some of his operations. “We would like to thank everyone who supported us in this difficult time and those who are still supporting us after the funeral,” Ntimane said.

The six passengers died while returning from a wedding in Komatipoort and were heading back to Tembisa when the accident occurred. It happened on the N4 near Elandshoek on November 5 when a Mercedes-Benz sedan was sideswiped by an articulated truck. All the occupants in the car, except the driver, Francisco Julioa Ntimane, died on impact.

Emer-G-Med responded to the accident and said its crews were met with absolute carnage. The Mercedes-Benz lay in pieces on the road. The extensive damage to the vehicle caused it to burst into flames shortly after impact. However, swift action from the fire services saw the blaze extinguished and Ntimane, who was trapped in the wreckage, extracted by using the Jaws of Life.
