New home for elderly gogo
Ngoato group of companies assisted Mathebe in building the house.
After years of struggling without a house, Gogo Tlakale Bokgobelo’s prayers have now been answered.
Sekhukhune District Municipality’s (SDM) executive mayor, Julia Lata Mathebe, handed over a fully furnished
four-roomed house to the destitute pensioner in Phaahla Manoge, within the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, last Friday.
The family of two, comprising the elderly woman and her son who has a mental disability, had to endure the elements in a dilapidated mud structure before this intervention.
Mathebe said when she was informed about the state of the structure in which the family lived, she burst into tears, and knew at that time she had to provide help.

“I contacted the Ngoato Group of Companies to come to assist the family, and was happy about their willingness to help. We are showing our mother that we care and we are overjoyed that she has a place she can call home,” said Mathebe.
The tearful gogo thanked Mathebe for her intervention and kindness.
“Like my peers, I have a place called home. It was a big challenge during rainy days, as my dilapidated mud house was not safe.”
