Mbombela matrics give 100% to celebrations

It was smiles all around when matrics in Mbombela walked out of their exam halls on December 2.

A wave of relief has washed over the country’s matrics. This was evident judging by the faces of Bergvlam learners as they exited the exam hall on December 2.

For most matrics, that day marked the end of their high school years. The last subject was written on December 7.

Celebrations were, of course, in order. One group of learners at Bergvlam reckoned it would not be a celebration without popping some bubbly, nowhere else than on the doorstep of the hall in which they had no doubt written some challenging exams.

At Hoërskool Nelspruit, a handful of parents greeted the matrics with balloons and cheers of joy.

As the learners’ time at their respective schools came to an end, it is also common practice to donate their uniforms so these can be redistributed where necessary the following year.
