Two trucks collide at Jaap se Hoogte

On Tuesday December 20 at 12:58, a heavy articulated Daewoo truck of Trans Auto Transport collided with the back of a loaded heavy articulated Reinhardt Transport truck.

The accident happened on the R555 to Roossenekal, about 17km outside Lydenburg at Jaap se Hoogte. This area is notorious for serious accidents.

Both truck drivers had sustained minor injuries and were stabilised on the scene.

The local emergency services, including the Lydenburg Traffic Department, the local police, several towing companies, Thaba Chweu Emergency Services and paramedics from several companies, responded to the incident.
