Reinhardt Transport encourages safety

STEELPOORT- Reinhardt Transport has urged truck drivers to be cautious on local and long distance routes.

The company held a road safety awareness campaign on the Sekhukhune road on Wednesday December 7, just next to the Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine.

Two Hundred  trucks were stopped along the road. The drivers received lunch, refreshments, pamphlets on road safety, water bottles and many more gifts.

According to the trucking company, the festive congestion across national roads requires road users to exercise extreme caution and vigilance.

“We came up with this idea of having the road safety campaign to remind truck drivers that safety on our roads as a professional driver is their responsibility in order to save lives, and to show the public that truck drivers care about the lives of communities, motorists and pedestrians

“We urge drivers to adhere to road rules in order to Arrive Alive. They also need to ensure their trucks are road worthy,” at all times and report defective trucks to their companies,” said Pieter Breedt Group Safety Manager.

He said  their drivers are well trained and experienced, Reinhardt has vowed to have similar campaigns over December at Heidelberg Toll Plaza , Rusternburg and Komatipoort.

Reinhardt thanked Prelog Services, DriveRisk, GJL Graphics, Hoëveld fire, JC Auditors, Escal Truck Stop  for sponsoring the 2022 Road Safety awareness campaign.
