The shooting of fireworks is prohibited by the City of Mbombela.

People who wish to shoot fireworks can only do so in public parks and sports stadiums.

People who want to shoot fireworks in Mbombela can only do so on the sports field and in public parks. According to the fire brigade by-laws, the shooting of fireworks anywhere within the municipal district is strictly prohibited,  unless a special arrangement is made with the fire officer’s office.

However, residents can use the following areas to shoot fireworks:

  • Mbombela Stadium
  • Mataffin sport ground
  • KaMagugu Stadium
  • KaNyamazan Stadium
  • KaBokweni Stadium
  • Barberton Rugby Club
  • Nelsville sports ground
  • Masoyi sports ground.
