Kruger National Park closes certain roads

Eight popular roads have been closed due to heavy rainfall.

A number of roads in the Kruger National Park (KNP) have been temporarily closed due to flooding from the heavy rains experienced over the past 24 hours.

The affected roads are the S12, S36, S39, S40, S90, S100, S126 and S127.

The area around Skukuza is currently experiencing mild and overcast conditions with about 10mm of rain expected for today, December 30.

Visitors are advised to keep to the tar roads in the KNP during such wet conditions. The South African Weather Service has not issued any emergency notifications for the area.
