Mpumalanga’s dams are almost at full storage capacity

Jericho Dam has recorded a massive increase in levels since last week.

The provincial state of dams report of January 2 shows dams across Mpumalanga are mostly unchanged since last week.

The full storage capacity of the province’s main storage facilities measured at 97% full, the same as last week.

66% of Mpumalanga’s main dams are now over 100% full. The only exceptions are Inyaka (78.7%), Jericho (98.5%), Klipkopjes (99.9%), Middelburg (94.4%), Morgenstond (99.1%), Ohrigstad (37.7%), Rhenosterkop (68.4%) and Witbank (98.1%).

Jericho Dam recorded a massive 38% increase over the last week and now stands at 98.5% full.
