Wagging tails and purrs during Pro-Life’s Winter Warmer Walk in Mbombela

The event was hosted by Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency, which saw around 50 Lowvelders gather at the shelter to walk some of the rescue dogs and spoil some of the cats.

There were lots of excited and happy dogs and cats following Pro-Life’s Winter Warmer Walk on Saturday July 29, as well as several adoptions.

Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency hosted the event which saw around 50 Lowvelders gather at the shelter to walk some of the rescue dogs, both old and young. There were lots of wagging tails and enthusiastic barks along the route as each dog got a chance to spend some time out for a walk and socialising with other dogs.

The cats and kittens at the shelter were not left out and were also given a fair amount of attention and playtime from visitors.

Pro-Life volunteers and staff hosted a few stalls selling food and drinks for the visitors and handed the dogs some treats and water after their walk. Pro-Life’s chairperson Leigh-Anne Auerswald said the agency also had five adoptions that day.

“Everyone had a great time, lots of dogs got walked and the cats were spoiled. It was very well supported and we are grateful for everyone who came and joined in participating in the event. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the event. It was fun-filled and enjoyable for all. A special thanks goes to all our staff and volunteers for all your help,” said Auerswald.
