IN PHOTOS: Locals celebrate 28 years with pub in Mbombela

Lots of prizes were up for grabs throughout the day, with live entertainment from Dee Phoenix.

It was a splendid day at the Jock Pub & Grill as some Lowvelders grabbed prizes and hampers in celebration of the Jock’s 28th anniversary on November 25.

The well-attended all-day celebration featured lucky ticket draws for great prizes from Jock’s suppliers and the main sponsor, Deltec.

Craig Strydom of the Jock Pub & Grill said the prizes were bigger and better than last year’s. “We had specials on a variety of drinks going for R28 each in correlation of our 28 years. Deltec sponsored the main prize, which was a portable inverter worth R9 000, and the winner deserved it.

“We also hosted a bleedathon for patrons to donate blood as part of the celebration. Going forward, we want to host blood donation drives at least four times a year, building up to our birthday in November and the festive season when we think the blood will be needed the most.”
