Duo who allegedly broke into Mpumalanga Hawks head’s Mbombela home remanded in custody
The two men who have been accused of breaking into the Mbombela home of Major General Nico Gerber, the head of Mpumalanga Hawks, have been remanded in custody.
Skhumbuzo Lasley Khathi (43) and Pumlani Nkosi (37) were remanded in custody by the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Friday January 12.
They were arrested on January 9 in connection with a housebreaking that occurred at the home of Mpumalanga Hawks head Major General Nico Gerber in December.

The Hawks spokesperson Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said they appeared in court on charges of possession of stolen property.
“During further investigation, previous cases were detected and the accused were linked to other serious cases pending in court,” she said.
She said the duo were remanded in custody, and they are expected to appear in court again on Monday, January 15, for further investigation.
