Two dead, two moderately injured following R40 crash
A head-on collision between two vehicles on the R40 out of Mbombela towards Barberton left two people moderately injured and killed two others late this afternoon, January 16.
Two people have died and another two were left moderately injured following a head-on collision between two vehicles near the storage units out on the R40 towards Barberton on Tuesday afternoon.
ER24 Lowveld’s regional manager, Greg Wilcox, said ER24 received a call about the crash at about 16:40. He said there was one occupant in one car, who was sadly declared dead on the scene, and three occupants in the other vehicle.

Two of the occupants were moderately injured, but the other had sustained critical injuries and later died in hospital.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
