Mpumalanga voters register for 2024 elections

Over 564 000 South Africans engaged in the registration transactions during the past registration weekend. Mpumalanga recorded 41 793 registrations.

The Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) held its second and final voter registration weekend on February 3 and 4, allowing new voters to register and existing voters to check, update or change their details for the upcoming 2024 national and provincial elections.

On February 4, the IEC announced that by 13:00, a total of 564 715 South Africans had completed their registration transactions. In Mpumalanga, there were 41 793 registrations, with 21 367 males and 20 426 females registering.

Online facilities and municipal offices will remain open for registration and details rectification until the election date is announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
