Lowveld families and local petrolheads were recently treated to an outstanding outdoor display of both modern and vintage vehicles and motorcycles at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre.

The Motor and Bike Show held at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre on Sunday April 28 drew families, friends and motor enthusiasts out in their numbers to view the impressive display of both modern and vintage vehicles and motorcycles.

Organised by Fred Viljoen, the curator of the Motorcycle Museum at Casterbridge, the outside display, held in one of the courtyards of the centre near Gin & Co and the parking area right outside Sabie Valley Coffee, saw 35 motorbikes and 15 cars.

The Motor Museum at Casterbridge was also open with scores more motorcycles and cars on display to look at.

Viljoen said the show was very well supported with people coming from around Mpumalanga to both display and view the motorcycles and cars. He said one man even came from as far as Boksburg to put his two motorbikes on show.

He said the oldest car on display is in the museum and is a Willys from 1920. He said it was the third annual show and he has already had a lot of great feedback from people who attended.
