A driver sustained slight injuries when his vehicle overturned in the Schoemanskloof today, May 21. According to ER24’s Lowveld branch manager, Kim Habib, they responded to an accident in the Schoemanskloof and upon arrival, found one car had overturned. The provincial emergency services were the first to arrive on the scene, and the driver was treated before being transported to the hospital for further medical care. No fatalities were reported.

The spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, said the scene has been cleared and confirmed that the road is again open for traffic. “It is still unclear what caused the accident, and an investigation will be conducted. I would like to urge motorists to always drive with caution and be patient with one another on the road. When they are tired, they must rest to avoid an accident,” he said.
