The Aqualetz Water Company received some purification equipment from Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine in its continuing efforts to support local businesses and the community.
Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine (DCM) has invested in a local bottled water business in Ga-Rantho outside Steelpoort.
On August 2, the DCM’s socio-economic development team, led by its manager, Remember Mmbengwa, handed the purification equipment to the Aqualetz Water Company.

The business is based in Ga-Rantho 582 in Ngwaabe and is owned by Thabo and Kaizer Mmadi.
Speaking to Steelburger/Lydenburg News at their newly opened business, the two partners said they had approached DCM with a proposal in 2021 about their desire to open a water shop. “DCM liked the business idea and committed to assist. Our business and premises were not up to standard by then, and when we got a new site, DCM was still available to lend a helping hand. We are thankful for this opportunity and we wish to excel in this business,” said the two owners.
Mmbengwa said they have always had a good relationship with local businesses. “We wish to see this one grow in leaps and bounds. We will also offer support in order to see them climb to greater heights. We urge them not to be complacent, but to also invest in the business and to open other branches in future.”
DCM’s communication officer, Nthabiseng Thiba, said they would assist Aqualetz with their branding. “We will arrange a double-sided signage board on the main road, stickers, as well as business cards to help them during the start of their business.”
Aqualetz is currently taking single and bulk orders, and locals can also visit the premises for water refills. The business is ready to supply water to funerals, weddings, government events and many more functions around Sekhukhune.

They operate from 08:30 to 17:30 on weekdays. On weekends and public holidays, they open at 08:30 and close at 14:00.
For bulk water packs, orders can be telephoned in at any time of the day.
Aqualetz can be contacted on 079 042 7863 (Thabo Mmadi) 071 495 2594 (Kaizer Mmadi).
