Two die in accident on N4 near Karino

The accident involved five vehicles. Two were declared dead on the scene, while the injured were rushed to the nearest hospitals.

Two died and three sustained injuries on the N4 between Valencia and the Karino interchange earlier today, November 15.

Four sedans and one light delivery vehicle were involved. The road is currently closed.

TRACN4’s spokesperson, Solange Soares, said: “A Polo driver travelling eastbound at high speed lost control, crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the guardrails before crashing head-on with a Suzuki. The drivers of two other vehicles, one a light delivery vehicle, were unable to brake in time and collided with the Polo and Suzuki. A stationary Toyota sedan in the shoulder lane was also struck during the incident.

Soares said motorists are advised to use the Crocodile Valley as an alternative route to avoid delays.
