A thought-provoking keynote address was presented by Sareta Schutte, the CEO of the Murchison Holdings Group of Companies and Saturn Management Company.

She focused on various issues, including innovation. According to Schutte, defining innovation is easy – anyone can do it. “Innovation is finding smart ways, more efficient ways, to work with what you have. It is nothing new; no big machines. It is just about what you have on your table in your business that you can elevate. It is not inventing new things,” she said.

She urged the guests to look at their businesses and see how they can add value to their products. “We do not like change, it’s not easy. We like to be in our comfort zone.”

Blessing Sunday, the SACBW Nelspruit’s local business leader, said the event was a great success.

“We had a great turnout. Local businesswomen came out in their numbers. Throughout the event one could feel an atmosphere of empowerment. We also had a keynote speaker who had a lot to share with all of us.”

Sunday said the monthly networking sessions are open to all local businesswomen. If you would like to join, email: nelspruit@sacbw.org.
