Power has been disrupted since early Monday morning, May 5.

A work crew for the City of Mbombela are on-site at the Anderson Street substation. The crew is currently digging to locate the faulty cable causing the power outage in Mbombela today, May 5.

The City of Mbombela’s spokesperson, Joseph Ngala, said that technicians cannot yet confirm how much damage needs to be addressed, or advise on a remedy. Ngala said there is no estimated time of power restoration.
