Parts of Mbombela to be without electricity for 12 hours

All electrical installations are to be treated as live for safety reasons.

A 12-hour power outage is expected in parts of Mbombela on Thursday, June 12, to complete the newly installed switchgear and to do maintenance work on the West Acres Substation of Block 14.

In the case of rainy weather, the maintenance could be postponed to a future date.

Residents are urged to treat all installations as live for their own safety. Due to the power outage, water supply could also be affected in some parts of Mbombela.
