The main purpose of the awards is to recognise outstanding achievements by individuals and businesses across various sectors that have demonstrated exceptional performance in community development over the past year.

The Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT), once again hosted another spectacular gala on October 31, bringing together the region’s top business leaders and tourism stakeholders.

With everyone dressed to the nines, the Emnotweni Arena was, as always, the venue for celebrating excellence and dedication within the Lowveld community.

The president of the KLCBT, Prof David Mabunda, used the platform to issue a powerful challenge to the people of the Lowveld – to embrace innovation as the key driver for economic expansion.

“To secure a vibrant future we must not rest on our successes. We need bold, new ideas, creative problem-solving and a renewed entrepreneurial spirit to grow our local economy and ensure the prosperity of the entire region. We need to produce innovative technology such as phone batteries that do not need to be charged.”

His message underscored the necessity of future-thinking business practices and diversified economic strategies to solidify the Lowveld’s position as a prime investment and tourism destination.
