Master models awarded at prize-giving and special 15th anniversary celebration

The Master Models Talent event was a special occasion as the awards coincided with the organisation's 15th anniversary.

Master Models Talent celebrated a special milestone when they held their 15th annual year-end awards ceremony and Model of the Year competition at Church Unlimited on Saturday, November 15.

The atmosphere was invigorating as enthusiastic parents and supporters rushed to claim their seats. One could feel the electrifying anticipation and energy as models started to get ready for their well-deserved recognition. From studio and ambassador awards to the prestigious title of Master Model of the Year, the models received their dues and were justly rewarded for their outstanding accomplishments.

“Our students worked extremely hard this year, showing commitment in their classes, excelling at all events, and overall, growing into confident, beautiful young models,” said trainer Candice Paterson. “As we were captivated by the stunning opening ‘Golden’ performance by Tineka Paterson, Anri van Wijk and Vangama Malungana, the models were poised to impress with their skills and routines after delivering a phenomenal solo performance for Master Model of the Year.”

Gabriella Miller was named the winner in the five to seven years category, Charlyn Mutanda in the eight to 10 years category, Anri van Wijk in the 11 to 12 years category, and Zoe Mahlangu in the 13 to 18 years category. Anri was able to muster up the highest overall score among the winners.

“Hosting these professional events every two months is a source of pride for me, as I watch my students develop a strong sense of self, build confidence, and ultimately unlock their full potential,” said Candice. Marc Paterson’s passion as the MC was contagious as he shared insightful and uplifting ideas on supporting the students’ development.

“We want to thank our amazing judges, Yisenia Savon, Michelle Buys, and Keshira Ramsahayee,” Paterson concluded.
