A man who was allegedly in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition was arrested on Friday, January 16, after police searched his vehicle during stop-and-search operations on the KaMhlushwa and Jeppes Reef road.

During the search, police found one firearm, one magazine and nine rounds of ammunition.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court soon and will face charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
