Premier to set out 2026 plan for Mpumalanga

Premier Mandla Ndlovu’s State of the Province Address will outline targeted interventions to address socio-economic and service delivery challenges in Mpumalanga.

The Mpumalanga Premier, Mandla Ndlovu, is expected to outline the provincial government’s strategic priorities, economic plans, service delivery improvements, infrastructure development initiatives and state capacity-building measures for the 2026 fiscal year.

Ndlovu will deliver the 2026 State of the Province Address at the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature on Thursday, March 5, at 10:00.

Socio-economic issues he is expected to highlight include progress in the fight against gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), following the establishment of the Provincial GBVF Committee to curb the scourge, as well as targets aimed at reducing unemployment and poverty, and the response to recent flood damage.

Government Boulevard, from the corner of the R40 and Eastern Boulevard, will be closed until later in the afternoon. The Southern Sun Mbombela area will also be affected.

Government Boulevard closed on March 5.

Traffic on the R40 in Riverside is expected to be slightly affected to accommodate the arrival of the premier.

Parking for guests will be available at Riverside Mall’s underground parking.
