Shandon resident still missing after 3 days

Security footage has been submitted to the state following a Mbombela kidnapping.

A well-known businessman and Shandon resident has been missing for three days after he was allegedly kidnapped on April 14. His identity is known to Lowvelder, but due to the sensitivity of the case, police have instructed the publication not to reveal it.

Shandon Eco Reserve’s security manager, Philip de Bruin, told Lowvelder that CCTV footage has been submitted to the state. No further updates were shared on the ongoing investigation.

The man was reportedly on his way home with his daughter in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon when a Volkswagen Polo collided with them. When both vehicles pulled over on Von Braun Street, an individual allegedly fired a gunshot at the man’s vehicle, forced him into the polo and sped away.

It is believed that the victim’s phone was discarded to prevent tracking. His daughter was unharmed.
