VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT CHEETAH CHROME SOUTH AFRICA, IS LOCATED IN THE BURGERSFORT AREA, SITUATED ON THE EASTERN BELT OF THE BUSHVELD IGNEOUS COMPLEX IN LIMPOPO PROVINCE Farm Mooihoek 255 KT,Driekop, Burgersfort Cheetah Chrome South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for a Lampsman who will be responsible for overseeing the effective operation of the Lamproom in terms of the Mines Health and Safety Act and Mine Code of Practice. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
•Lamps Man Certificate.
•Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
•Ability to work independently and good communication skills.
•3 Years` proven experience in mining environment.
•Must have a clean record.
•Be willing to work rotational shifts. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Issue the required lamps and safety monitoring equipment to all employees going underground, in accordance with mine standards.
•Ensure that all underground lamps and safety monitoring equipment are collected from employees when they return to surface and that they are stored according to mine standard.
•Inspect and execute maintenance and repairs on all issued and returned equipment and ensuring that all lamps and safety monitoring equipment is in proper working condition.
•Ensure that the lamproom is maintained according to the Code of Practice.
•Conduct housekeeping tasks in the workplace.
•Conduct tasks allocated by seniors or supervisors in line with the nature of the job.
•Adhere to the clauses and regulations of Mine Health and Safety Act.
•Participate in the Company`s Health, Safe and Environmental Management Programme.
