Women, whatever you do, DON’T!

Times have changed, but society seems unwilling to adapt their views. It seems that the man's role of the chaser in heterosexual relationships is one that he clings to for life and death. Is this what most of us prefer?

College-aged men and women from the University of California in San Francisco were asked whether the male or the female should make the first move in a relationship.  Only 25% of them said that females may make the first move.

According to Ms Tracey Cox, a world renowned relationships expert, making the first move is usually left up to men, as women fear they’ll be seen as ‘too forward’ if they make the first move.

Women are told to refrain from expressing interest in a man, as men ‘love a chase,’ according to Ms Mimi Tanner.  She is the author of a popular blog It’s all about women.  Tanner suggests that women should refrain from chasing men and that men should be granted the space to chase the girl that they like.

There are hundreds of blogs dedicated to persuading women that they need to refrain from contacting men before the men contact them, that they need to appear unavailable to be attractive and that they need to be crual to be kind.

Times may have changed, but the overwhelming stream of information that dictate the above suggests that this vision has not changed at all.

Is this just “one of those things?”
