Pumas chase bonus points
If there is anything the Steval Pumas need now after two victorious games in the Vodacom Cup, it's bonus points.

They could only score three tries in the last two matches; two against the Falcons and one in the Bulls match. “At this stage we need to pile up the points difference to maintain our log-leading position,” coach Jimmy Stonehouse said after they beat the Vodacom Blue Bulls by 22-20.
A big concern is the interpretation of the referee’s scrum rule.
“We’ve been penalised in the last two games for apparently scrumming before the ball was put in, and that on our own ball. But on the Monday thereafter, both referees phoned us and apologised for their mistakes, which definitely cost us possession and points. Hopefully they have discussed the interpretation of the rule on their panel and post-match reviews for us to carry on with our winning technique,” Stonehouse commented.
This weekend the Pumas will travel to Welkom where they will take on a determined Down Touch Griffons, who took a hiding last week against the GWK Griquas in Kimberley. Last year, the Griffons could not keep up with the firing guns of the Pumas. Hopefully it will be the same this time.
Stonehouse hasn’t made any major changes to his starting line-up. The only processional change is Brian Shabangu on the bench, who
replaces Sabelo Nhlapo who is out for two weeks with concussion.
The starting line-up is Vincent Koch (1), Jacques Momberg (2), Drew van Coller (3), Marius Coetzer (4), Giant Mtyanda (5), Corné Steenkamp (6), Uzaier Cassiem (7), Renaldo Bothma (8), Snake Nyoka (9), JC Roos (10), Ruwellyn Isbell (11), Dewald Pretorius (12), Wilmaure Louw (13), Jerome Pretorius (14) and JW Bell (15). On the bench is Frankie Herne, DeJay Terblanche, RW Kember, Brian Shabangu, Reynier van Rooyen, Justin van Staden and Bernardo Botha.
