Curro athlete excel
He placed second in the category 16 to 17 year olds after he celebrated his 16th birthday last week.
Curro School pupil, Asher Biggs took part in the South African Duathlon Championships in Bloemfontein this past weekend.
He placed second in the category 16 to 17 year olds after he celebrated his 16th birthday last week. The event took place at the Cricket Oval, University of the Free State on the Bloemfontein Campus.
Asher held his own and finished strongly. “The race was very tough, cycling was hard due to the speed bumps and circles with some terrible falls among the boys.”
In only a few months, Asher has emerged from under the radar to being selected to compete in the SA Champs after only his second triathlon. He only started competing in triathlons last November.
He got his first road bike three weeks before his first competition and since then he has flourished and has recently completed his third triathlon.
