Naughty Boys take the spoils in Nedbank Cup

This past Saturday Block A Naughty Boys became the champions of the Ehlanzeni Regional Nedbank Cup in Nkomazi. The semi-finals and finals were held the same day at KaMaqhekeza Stadium. The semi-finals kicked off at 10:00 between Buffelspruit All Blacks and Mananga Royal City, followed by Shando Real Aces and Block A Naughty Boys, where the winners from both clashes would meet in the final. Mananga Royal City narrowly escaped from the jaws of their opponents with a slender 2-1 win, to advance to the finals. Block A Naughty Boys were in top form from the get-go, dominating possession and trashing Shando Real Aces 2-0. Block A Naughty Boys maintained this impressive performance in the final when they took on Mananga Royal City. The two sides went into half-time with Block A Naughty Boys leading 2-0, and not showing any sign of parking the bus yet. However, when the second half got underway Mananga Royal City came out determined to prove that they were not in the finals to be walked over. They managed to find the back of the net before the last whistle which crowned Block A Naughty Boys the champions, with a 2-1 victory. Meanwhile on Sunday the action also continued in the domestic league with Black Movers taking on Block A United. The two sides shared the points at stake in the encounter, ending the match with an entertaining 3-3 score. Liverpool took on Mthatha Peacemakers, and the two teams were at loggerheads throughout the game. The scoreline ended two all. Schoemansdal Junior Aces educated Magogeni Classic when they defeated them with an outstanding 4-0.
